These terms are the agreement between you and the independent developer who owns the site, who runs Curio. By using Curio you accept them; if you do not, please do not use it. How we treat your data is in the privacy notice.
The service
Curio shows what a Dota 2 collection is worth, what is rare in it and how it scores, using public Steam data. It gives collectors a profile, wishlists, price alerts, a trade calculator and a way to find each other for trades. The core — rating, the score, the profile — is free. Some extras are paid (see below).
What Curio is not
- Not Valve. Curio is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Dota 2 and Steam are Valve's trademarks; item names and images are Valve's and appear only to identify items.
- Not a marketplace, casino or broker. Curio never holds, buys, sells or passes on items, keeps no balances, takes no deposits and pays nothing out. There are no cases, no wagers and nothing random you pay for.
- Not financial advice. Prices are observations from the Steam Community Market, each with the time we saw it. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and a real sale can differ. Decide for yourself.
Your account
- You sign in with Steam only. We never ask for your Steam password, Steam Guard codes or Web API key — anyone who does in Curio's name is not Curio.
- You need to be old enough to have a Steam account (13 or older), and, where your country requires it, a parent's or guardian's permission.
- One account per person, used by you. You are responsible for what happens under it and for what you publish on a public profile.
Fair use
Do not use Curio to deceive or harm people: no scams, impersonation, spam or harassment, no false reports. Do not attack or overload the service, get around its limits, or collect its data automatically in bulk. Do not publish what is unlawful or not yours to publish (your bio, showcase titles and wishlist names are yours, and you let us show them as the service needs; we may remove what breaks these terms).
Trades
Curio can introduce collectors who chose to take part in trading. Curio is not a party to any trade: every trade happens in Steam, between the two people, under Steam's rules. Curio never holds, passes on or sends an item, never handles money between people, and guarantees nothing about a trade or about another person. Values shown next to a trade are Steam Community Market prices — a reference, not an offer. Curio never writes to you in Steam. Check the other account before you trade (Curio's profile check shows what Steam says about it), and check every item in Steam's own confirmation.
You can report a trader. Reports are read by a person; a trader may be taken out of matching. Nothing happens to anyone automatically.
Paid products
- What is sold: the Collection Report (one payment, yours to keep) and Premium (30 days of access per payment). Prices are shown before you pay, in your display currency, with the amount charged.
- No auto-renewal. Premium does not renew by itself: another month happens only if you pay for it again.
- How payment works. A payment provider takes the payment; access opens when the provider confirms it. Crypto payments settle after the network confirms them and cannot be reversed once settled — the checkout says so before you pay.
- Digital content, delivered at once. By paying you ask for access to start immediately. Where the law gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, that right ends once the content has been delivered.
- If something does not work. If a paid feature does not work as described, write to us: we fix it, extend your access, or pay the amount back by transfer.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Curio available but cannot promise it. Steam's own outages are outside our control; when they affect data, the page says so. We may change or stop features; if we stop a paid feature you have paid for, you get the unused part back.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and tell you why unless the law or safety does not allow it.
Liability
Curio is provided as it is. We are not responsible for trades between people, for what Steam or Valve do, for decisions made on the prices shown, or for the value of any item. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If a change matters to you, we say so on the site before it applies; continuing to use Curio after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator is established. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there. Before anything else, write to us — most things are fixed faster that way.
